We pull the official mid-market exchange rate in real time from a free public API and apply it to your amount. No markup, no hidden fees.

Are the rates live?▾

Yes. Rates refresh hourly via public API. If you go offline, we show cached rates with a clear warning.

Which exchange API do you use?▾

We use exchangerate.host (free, no key required) with a local fallback table. Rates reflect the interbank market, not retail.

How do I convert USD to EUR?▾

Pick USD as source, type the amount, choose EUR as target. The result updates in real time, alongside the unit rate.

Card or cash exchange: which is cheaper?▾

Cards with no foreign transaction fee (Wise, Revolut, Charles Schwab) usually beat exchange bureaus. Cash only wins where cards are not accepted.

Can I use the converter offline?▾

Yes — offline mode shows the last known rate with a warning. Accuracy drops but it works for ballpark estimates.

Is the rate the same as my bank gives me?▾

No. We show the interbank (mid-market) rate. Banks add a 2–4% spread on top. We are your fair reference.

How many currencies are supported?▾

Over 50, including USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CNY, CHF, CAD, AUD, BRL, MXN, INR, plus many Asian and African currencies.
